WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?
The Product Concept Manager is responsible for managing a team of patternists and machinists who support designers and developers in bringing concepts to life. This role ensures the centre delivers timely, high-quality prototypes to accelerate product innovation and consumer testing. The Lead will balance workflow, mentor junior team members, and use their advanced expertise on complex prototypes.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As our Product Concept Manager, you will be responsible for:
Lead and manage the RPC team, allocating workload and ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
Oversee the full lifecycle of prototype creation, from digital patterning to physical garment production.
Use advanced skills in CLO3D, Lectra, and manual prototyping techniques to deliver complex samples.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and NPI/NPD teams to bring creative ideas into tangible forms.
Develop and maintain best practices, processes, and quality standards across the RPC.
Manage resource planning, budgeting, and capacity planning of the centre.
Act as the key point of contact for the centre, representing RPC at cross-functional meetings.
Coach, mentor, and upskill junior team members to foster technical and creative growth.
Strive for continuous improvements on product fit/functionality based on brand and consumer feedback and needs, developing and updating robust pattern block libraries that future NPD will be based on.
Be a subject expert on fit, provide solutions and problem solve. Constantly review fit/grading challenges in order to delight the consumer.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:
Significant experience in garment prototyping, pattern cutting, and sample development.
Strong technical knowledge of CLO3D and Lectra software.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Strong understanding of both technical garment construction and creative design principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying complexity in a fast-paced environment.
