Reports to: Director of Sustainability and Positive Business
Location: London, Farringdon
Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4.30pm finish on a Friday)
The Sustainability Operations & Reporting Manager Mission:
A hands-on, cross-functional sustainability generalist responsible for delivering core sustainability reporting, embedding sustainability processes across the business, and running the operational mechanics of sustainability governance. This role ensures timely, accurate and auditable outputs, enabling the Head of Sustainability to focus on regulatory readiness, roadmaps, and strategic delivery.
How you'll drive success:
Operational and legislative reporting & publications:
Lead delivery of core outputs including legislative reporting frameworks, sustainability reporting, annual accounts input, Modern Slavery statement, NGO/customer/retailer sustainability and traceability reports.
Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure deadlines, quality and consistency.
Process mapping & evidence management:
Map, document and maintain ESG processes (claims, certifications, supplier evidence, traceability inputs).
Lead on tech solutions for traceability management.
Governance operations & Steerco support:
Manage Sustainability Steering Committee logistics, packs, RAID tracker and follow-up.
Data & systems operations:
Oversee Sustainability tech stack and data needs.
Support system testing and roll-out.
Stakeholder coordination:
Act as operational partner to HR, Finance, Product, Sourcing and Compliance teams.
Assurance readiness support:
Maintain evidence packs and internal control documentation to support assurance reviews.
Continuous improvement:
Identify and implement operational efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.
What you'll need to thrive:
4–6 years’ experience in sustainability operations, ESG reporting or process management.
Experience operating sustainability platforms (e.g. Segura, Cemasys or similar).
Strong project coordination, stakeholder management and written communication skills.
Experience supporting audits or assurance processes.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
