Group Reporting Manager - Investments
You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and external service providers (including IQEQ) to deliver timely, high‑quality reporting and continuous improvement of systems & processes.

Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4.30pm finish on a Friday)
The Group Reporting Manager (Investment) Mission:
The Group Reporting Manager – Investments will own the end-to-end investment reporting framework for the Group’s investment-holding entities, ensuring that reporting is consistent, robust and decision‑useful across a complex portfolio of listed, private, private equity and venture capital investments.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and external service providers (including IQEQ) to deliver timely, high‑quality reporting and continuous improvement of systems, processes and insight.
How you'll drive success:
Investment Reporting & Insight
Own the monthly, quarterly and annual investment reporting cycle end‑to‑end.
Produce clear, insightful investment reporting explaining performance, valuation movements, FX impacts, key drivers, KPIs and risks.
Ensure comparability and consistency of reporting across listed, private, PE and VC investments.
Provide high‑quality reporting packs and commentary for senior management, investment committees and boards.
Governance, Legal Entity Reporting & Consolidation
Lead the preparation of legal entity financial statements and reporting across all investment‑holding companies.
Lead multi‑currency group consolidations for investment entities.
Ensure strong governance, discipline and consistency across data, methodologies, valuation principles and aggregation logic underpinning reporting.
Maintain and enhance group accounting and reporting policies relevant to investments.
Systems & IQEQ Oversight
Act as the internal owner of the investment reporting systems landscape, including IQEQ.
Ensure IQEQ is used effectively to its full capability, reducing spreadsheet dependency and improving speed, transparency and control.
Partner with IT and external providers on system enhancements, automation and reporting improvements (e.g. SAP / OneStream where relevant).
Audit, Valuation & Technical Matters
Support the Group Financial Controller on the day‑to‑day delivery of the statutory audits of the investment‑holding entities and the Consolidated Financial Statements, coordinating internal teams and external auditors.
Support valuation processes and ensure consistent application of valuation methodologies.
Prepare and review technical accounting papers and analysis relating to investments, transactions and structural changes
Cash Flow, Covenants & Treasury Interface
Oversee investment‑related cash flow reporting and forecasting.
Support covenant reporting and monitoring (where relevant).
Partner with Treasury on intercompany funding structures and reporting.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Act as a key interface between the investment function, group finance, tax, treasury, company secretary and external advisors.
Manage and develop direct reports as required.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, timeliness and relevance.
What you'll need to thrive:
Essential
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA), ideally with Big 4 experience.
Strong technical accounting background with excellent understanding of UK GAAP (FRS102) and IFRS.
Proven experience owning complex multi‑currency consolidations.
Strong understanding of investment structures and asset classes (listed and private companies, PE, VC, funds).
Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, decision‑useful investment reporting.
Strong systems capability and appetite for improving reporting through better tools and automation.
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience in transaction services, corporate finance or fund accounting roles.
Exposure to valuation methodologies and investment performance analytics.
Experience working in a family office, private investment office or complex group environment.
Personal Attributes
