Reports to: Senior Merchandise Planner
Location: London Farringdon
Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4.30pm finish on a Friday)
The Digital Merchandise Planner Mission:
Asa key player in supporting the delivery of our Digital strategy and financial objectives, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the right products are delivered at the right times, tailored to the needs of our target accounts and consumers. Your focus will be on driving availability to enhance sell-through rates while also maintaining a relevant and fresh product offering. In instances where necessary, you'll proactively trade out to minimise stock risk. Based in London this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Pentland's overall direct-to consumer (D2C) growth strategy during these dynamic times. How you'll drive success:
Lending your expertise in planning the seasonal product selection and maintaining optimal inventory levels that align seamlessly with departmental budget target's and overarching strategy.
Delivering accurate weekly and monthly inventory reports, with a keen eye on SKU productivity during monthly and end-of-season reviews.
Be the go-to person for ensuring inventory availability and demand forecasting for our D2C websites on a weekly basis, providing insights that drive successful marketing campaigns, business focus areas, trials, and events.
Planning and control of online digital channels, including the proactive management of ’out of stocks’ situations, identifying replacements, and maximising free stock opportunities to meet targets.
Working cross-functionally to drive process improvements with the wider planning team, ensuring alignment and clarity on stock, sales, and inventory positions across all digital channels.
What you'll need to thrive:
Ability to interpret and analyse sales data, trends, and market research to make informed decisions.
An understanding of budgets, profit margins, and financial implications of merchandising decisions.
The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various teams, including marketing, sales, and product development.
Effective time management skill, and the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time efficiently.
Produce pre-season forecasts at line level and reforecast on core lines based on performance.
Prepare and submit monthly buys for sign of keeping within OTB targets and to the buying calendar deadlines.
Proficiency in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing overstock or stockouts.

Experience Interview - A more in-depth interview (usually online) with the hiring manager to explore your skills, experience and approach, and how these align with the role, our principles, and our ways of working.
Final Interview - A final in-person interview at our office, focused on deeper discussion and practical application, giving you the chance to meet more of the team and see Pentland Brands in action.
