The Retail Marketing Assistant - Speedo, Germany Mission:
You’ll support the execution of retail, trade, and brand marketing initiatives across the German market. This role is key in driving brand visibility, consumer engagement, and sell through‑ across key accounts, field accounts, and buying groups such as Intersport.
You will collaborate with EMEA marketing, local sales teams, brand and sports marketing, and retail partners to deliver premium, locally relevant activations that bring our seasonal campaigns to life for the German consumer.
How you'll drive success:
Retail & Trade Marketing Support
Assist in planning and executing in‑store marketing campaigns across Germany, including windows, POSM, fixtures, trade fairs, and retail takeovers.
Support the planning and execution of retail and international marketing campaigns and in‑store activations across key retail partners, particularly field accounts and buying groups such as Intersport.
Support the team with seasonal Sellin and ‑sell through‑ toolkits tailored to the German market as part of the go to market process.
Campaign Execution
Support the implementation of global and EMEA brand campaigns across German retail environments.
Support key retailer partners with product launch campaigns, ensuring marketing timelines align with development and production schedules.
Support visual merchandising initiatives to ensure consistent and high-quality‑ execution across all stores.
Collect and manage campaign performance feedback and field imagery.
Local Market Activation
Support local marketing activations aligned to the Germany marketing strategy and the global strategy, ensuring a strong global and local approach.
Monitor competitor activity, marketplace trends, and opportunities to elevate brand presence within the German market.
Events & Brand Activations
Support brand and sports marketing teams on brand events and activations tailored to the German market and consumer targets — including pre‑event organisation, on‑site event support, and post‑event reporting.
Content & Asset Management
Management of all content across content management systems to ensure retail partners receive content and campaigns relevant to their buy selections.
Coordinate retail marketing materials including briefing, production, localisation, translation, and distribution.
Partner & Internal Team Support#
Maintain strong communication with German retail partners, ensuring they receive the right assets, information, and guidance to deliver best‑in‑class brand experiences.
Support the commercial team with seasonal showroom set‑up as part of go‑to‑market planning.
Coordinate sample and asset requests for internal teams and partners.
Administration & Coordination
Manage timelines, trackers, marketing calendars, campaign documents, and project assets.
Support event preparation for product launches, activations, and partner meetings.
What you'll need to thrive:
Enrolled as a full-time student for the complete duration of the internship.
Previous hands-on experience gained through internships or student roles in related fields (trade marketing, retail marketing, brand marketing, visual merchandising) is a plus.
Solid understanding of the German retail landscape and consumer behaviour.
Fluency in German and English, written and spoken.
Highly organised with strong multitasking and ‑time management‑ abilities.
A high level of commitment, an independent and structured way of working, as well as the willingness to take initiative and drive things forward.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Background in fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle industries would be desirable
Knowledge of retail KPIs and sell through‑ reporting.
Creative eye and interest in visual merchandising and retail storytelling.
