Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The [Role Title] Mission:
The Lead Analyst (Platform) is responsible for the technical ownership, stability, security, and strategic evolution of the global server, storage, and virtualisation estate.
They provide hands-on technical management while setting direction, standards, and best practices across infrastructure platforms. The role ensures services are secure, resilient, performant, and aligned to business and security objectives.
The Lead Analyst acts as the most senior escalation point for complex incidents and plays a key role in architecture, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and modernisation initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.
How you'll drive success:
Platform Ownership & Strategy – Own the global server, storage, and virtualization platforms; define roadmaps, standards, and lifecycle strategies aligned to security and enterprise architecture.
Technical Leadership – Act as senior escalation point; lead root cause analysis; mentor and develop team members.
Infrastructure Operations – Oversee monitoring, backups, (C)DR, and capacity planning; ensure high availability and resilience.
Security & Compliance – Ensure patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Vendor & Technology Management – Manage key vendors, licensing, and technology lifecycle; evaluate new tools and platforms.
Project Delivery – Lead infrastructure projects; provide design authority and governance.
Service Improvement – Drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to thrive:
You will have 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in VMware vSphere / ESXi (v7 onwards) – advanced administration and design
Experience in Windows Server (2016 onwards) – enterprise management. Linux experience an advantage.
Experience in Backup / Replication Experience (Veeam preferred)
Experience in Server & Storage hardware knowledge (HPE / Dell)
Experience in OS patching, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening
Experience in Automation and scripting (PowerShell or equivalent)
Experience in Cloud platforms (Azure / GCP – hybrid environments)
