At Berghaus, product has to do more than look good. It has to work when conditions change, terrain gets tougher and every detail starts to matter.
As a Supervisor, you are a key presence on the shop floor—supporting the management team and helping to keep the store running smoothly, especially during busy trading periods.
You’ll lead by example, ensuring every customer receives knowledgeable, authentic service while supporting your team to perform at their best.
What you’ll be doing:
Shop Floor Leadership
Act as a role model for customer service and product knowledge
Support the team during peak trading—keeping energy, focus, and standards high
Step up as key holder / manager-on-duty when required
Customer Experience
Deliver a friendly, confident, and expert-led service
Help customers find the right product for their needs—whether for hiking, commuting, or everyday wear
Support team members in developing their product knowledge
Commercial Awareness
Contribute to achieving store targets (sales, conversion, ATV)
Identify opportunities to drive sales through service and product recommendations
Operational Support
Assist with stock management, deliveries, and replenishment
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
Follow store processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
What you’ll bring:
Previous retail experience (ideally in a key holder or senior sales role)
Experience supporting others on the shop floor
Positive, proactive, and hands-on
Passion for delivering great customer experiences
Interest in the outdoors or performance-led products
Strong communication and teamwork
Confidence to take the lead when needed
Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment

The Interview Process
We want our interview process to feel clear, straightforward, and supportive. If your experience and expectations look like a strong match for the role, here’s what you can expect next:
Talent Team Intro Call - A 30-minute video call with our Talent Team to get to know each other, talk through the role and your experience, and answer any questions you have.
Experience Interview - A more in-depth interview (usually online) with the hiring manager to explore your skills, experience and approach, and how these align with the role, our principles, and our ways of working.
Final Interview - A final in-person interview at our office, focused on deeper discussion and practical application, giving you the chance to meet more of the team and see Pentland Brands in action.
