Senior Product Developer - Berghaus
We’re Pentland Brands: a global family business behind some of the world’s most iconic active and lifestyle brands. We bring integrity, energy and ambition to our work, setting high standards and striving to deliver great outcomes without ego.
Design technical outdoor apparel built for movement, weather and real-world performance.

At Berghaus, product has to do more than look good. It has to work when conditions change, terrain gets tougher and every detail starts to matter.
Our Product team shapes the future of our brands by developing innovative, high-quality products that meet real consumer needs. As Senior Product Developer, you will lead product creation from concept through to production, ensuring every style delivers on performance, design intent, cost, sustainability, and brand identity. Your mission is to bring products to life through collaboration, creativity, and a deep understanding of both our consumers and our manufacturing partners.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading end-to-end product development across multiple seasons, from concept and briefing to final production sign-off.
Working closely with Design, Product Management, Technical, and Sourcing teams to translate creative direction into commercially viable product solutions.
Managing critical paths and ensuring all development stages are delivered on time, to spec, and within agreed cost targets.
Driving material, construction, trim and fit decisions, ensuring product performance, quality and sustainability standards are met.
Working with suppliers and factories to resolve technical challenges, ensure manufacturability, and continuously improve product efficiencies.
Leading sample management, fit sessions, wear testing feedback and product validation.
Providing coaching and guidance to junior developers, helping build capability and consistent ways of working.
Monitoring competitor product, industry trends, innovations and sustainability improvements to support future-thinking product creation.
Managing development documentation, BOMs, prototypes, approvals and all product data in line with internal processes.
Supporting seasonal costing reviews and margin targets by collaborating with sourcing and commercial teams.
