Senior Finance Business Partner - Central Commercial
You will build the frameworks, methodologies, and tools that the whole team relies on, push for a consistent standard of quality across every regional output
We’re Pentland Brands: a global family business behind some of the world’s most iconic active and lifestyle brands. We bring integrity, energy and ambition to our work, setting high standards and striving to deliver great outcomes without ego.
Shape the work behind some of the world’s most loved sport, outdoor and lifestyle brands.

At Pentland Brands, every role helps move our brands forward. Whether you’re supporting our people, improving our systems, growing our commercial performance, strengthening operations or shaping better ways of working, your impact reaches across a portfolio of iconic brands used by consumers around the world.
The Central Commercial Senior Finance Business Partner sits at the centre of the EMEA Commercial Finance team, acting as the connective tissue between the VP EMEA Finance, regional Senior Finance Business Partners, Global FP&A and senior internal stakeholders. Your mission is to raise the bar on how EMEA Finance plans, reports, and operates. You will build the frameworks, methodologies, and tools that the whole team relies on, push for a consistent standard of quality across every regional output, and step confidently into senior forums and relationships on behalf of the VP Finance. In doing so, you will play a critical role in establishing EMEA Finance as a function that is trusted, rigorous, and genuinely ahead of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
Ad Hoc Projects & Brand Support
A significant and varied part of this role involves leading ad hoc projects in support of Pentland’s brands and cross-regional priorities. These projects will differ in scope, subject matter, and stakeholder; no two will look the same. You will often be working on questions that do not have an established playbook, requiring you to shape your own approach, identify the right analytical framework, and find a path forward with limited precedent to draw on.
This demands someone who is genuinely comfortable with ambiguity, can get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar territory, and approaches new challenges with curiosity and commercial instinct rather than waiting to be told how. The ability to structure thinking clearly, propose a sensible course of action, and take ownership through to delivery is essential.
Projects may span brand financial performance reviews, cross-regional benchmarking exercises, commercial model evaluations, or strategic finance questions raised by the VP Finance or senior leadership. You will be expected to lead these independently, bringing in the right colleagues at the right moments and communicating findings and recommendations with clarity.
Planning Framework & Standards
Develop and own standardised budgeting and forecasting templates, driver libraries, and common definitions across revenue recognition, margin components, and channel reporting to ensure all regional Senior Finance Business Partners are working from the same foundations.
Own the EMEA Finance planning calendar, coordinating submission timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the regional and supply chain teams to ensure the function runs as a joined-up whole.
Forecast Accuracy & IBP Enablement
Centralise key EMEA forecast drivers and embed them into the IBP engine, and partner with Systems and Data teams to develop automated data flows and dashboards that improve reliability and free up regional Senior Finance Business Partners to focus on insight.
Monitor forecast accuracy patterns across the EMEA team, identifying root causes and working with regional Senior Finance Business Partners to embed sustainable improvements into future planning cycles.
Consolidation & EMEA Reporting
Own monthly EMEA reporting, consolidating inputs from regional and supply chain Senior Finance Business Partners into a coherent, insight-rich view for senior leadership, and create the EMEA Finance output presentations for leadership meetings.
Play a quality assurance role across all regional forecast and budget submissions, challenging outlier assumptions and supporting Senior Finance Business Partners before outputs go to the VP Finance or Global FP&A. Act as the primary point of contact for Global and Central FP&A on behalf of the VP Finance.
Create and own the EMEA Finance output presentations for leadership meetings, translating consolidated data into clear narratives, with well-constructed commentary on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Deputy Responsibilities & Team Leadership
Deputise for the VP Finance in recurring meetings, leadership forums, and planning discussions, and chair specific Finance meetings including planning cycle reviews, consolidation check-ins, and cross-team methodology sessions.
Chair or run specific recurring Finance meetings, including planning cycle reviews, consolidation check-ins, and cross-team methodology sessions, keeping the EMEA Finance team aligned and progressing at pace. Act as the primary point of contact for Global and Central FP&A
Line manage one Finance Analyst and one Data Analyst, providing clear direction, coaching, and development support to deliver the central consolidation and reporting workload to a high standard.
What you’ll bring:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in commercial finance, FP&A or central finance within a consumer or branded goods business.
Strong technical finance skills, including financial modelling, driver-based forecasting and consolidation.
Experience in consolidation, central planning or FP&A roles drawing together multiple regional or business unit inputs into quality-assured outputs.
Comfortable working on unfamiliar problems without a clear precedent, with confidence to define an approach and propose a well-reasoned course of action.
Presence to represent a senior leader in meetings and forums, with communication skills to hold your own with experienced commercial and operational stakeholders.
Genuine interest in building systems and processes that enable others, including training and upskilling peers.
People management experience and a commitment to developing others.
Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, Power BI and SAP, with interest in automation and data quality improvements.
