We’re Pentland Brands: a global family business behind some of the world’s most iconic active and lifestyle brands. We bring integrity, energy and ambition to our work, setting high standards and striving to deliver great outcomes without ego.
Shape the work behind some of the world’s most loved sport, outdoor and lifestyle brands.

At Pentland Brands, every role helps move our brands forward. Whether you’re supporting our people, improving our systems, growing our commercial performance, strengthening operations or shaping better ways of working, your impact reaches across a portfolio of iconic brands used by consumers around the world.
Sitting within our Global Sourcing & Planning team, this role plays a critical part in ensuring our products can be sold safely and compliantly across all the markets we operate in.
As Head of Product Compliance & Stewardship, you’ll bring together product and packaging compliance under one clear global approach, setting standards, anticipating regulatory change and making sure compliance is built into the product journey from the outset. You’ll work closely with our brands, sourcing teams and senior stakeholders to balance regulatory requirements with commercial priorities, while strengthening how we manage compliance risk across Pentland Brands.
What you’ll be doing:
Own product safety and market access across all markets we operate in.
Set the global strategy and standards for product and packaging compliance.
Lead chemical compliance across areas including REACH, PFAS, POPs, Proposition 65 and our Restricted Substances List.
Oversee product testing, certification, Declarations of Conformity and market-specific labelling requirements.
Lead our approach to ESPR and Digital Product Passports, ensuring we are ready for emerging regulatory requirements.
Own the response to product incidents, recalls and engagement with regulators.
Bring product and packaging compliance together under one consistent approach, leading the Product Compliance Manager and Packaging Compliance Manager.
Partner with our brands and senior stakeholders to identify risk early and ensure compliance is built into the product journey.
Lead the Product Regulatory Compliance Committee, manage external consultants and shape our compliance technology roadmap.
What you’ll bring:
Significant experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs or product safety within consumer goods, ideally apparel or footwear.
Strong knowledge of UK and EU product and packaging regulation, including areas such as REACH, ESPR, PPWR and EPR.
Experience turning regulatory requirements into clear compliance strategies, standards and ways of working.
Experience operating across multiple markets, product categories or brands.
Strong leadership experience, with the ability to bring different compliance specialisms together as one team.
Confidence influencing and challenging senior stakeholders when compliance and commercial priorities compete.
A proactive approach to emerging regulation, with the ability to assess risk and prepare the business ahead of change.
